The VR-MRI System

The VR-MRI system is a solution to combine Virtual Reality and motion capture inside MRI, providing visual immersion and interactivity during MRI acquisition (implemented in collaboration with EPFL, LNCO). Specifically, the use of combined virtual reality and motion capture will allow establishing an immersive virtual environment to implement cognitive experiment in an MRI scanner that puts strong constraints on the possible manipulations.

In connection with the VR-MRI system, we have developed an open-source framework under a GNU GPL V3 license, allowing you to create, add and modify a multitude of features to create your own virtual reality experience inside MRI. This is a Unity 3D project, developed in C#.

This framework is available and free to use for everyone here.
